Interpersonal Communications: The Process Relationships, both personal and professional, develop through the interaction that you have with others. They can be good or bad--but good relationships mean less conflict and more understanding. John Donne, the English poet, famously said: "No man is an island." Only seven percent of a person's understanding of a message is derived from the message's verbal content. The non-verbal element delivers the remaining 93 percent.
